Marine Scientist, Artist and Children’s Author/Illustrator
Dr Sue Pillans is a marine scientist, artist and children’s author/illustrator who specialises in creative and visual communications. Sue combines her love of marine science and art to bring creativity into classrooms as her alter ego Dr Suzie Starfish. Her unique storytelling approach helps to make learning visual and fun for children of all ages. Sue also draws out ideas with people, teams and organisations to visually capture and convey discussions, information and concepts through graphic recording and sketchnoting. Her visual storytelling approach helps to take people on a journey, shows the ‘big picture’ and provides a unique visual record for later reflection, as “when you see it, you get it!”
You can ‘sea’ more of Sue’s creative journey and visual storytelling at http://www.drsuepillans.com/ and dive in and follow her as @drsuziestarfish on Facebook and @suepillans on Twitter and Instagram.
Sue will speak at the Free Seminar Program.
