Elizabeth Lonergan is the Principal of St Mary’s Coptic Orthodox College, a foundation to year 12 coeducational college in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Elizabeth is passionate about teacher wellbeing, attrition, building capacity and succession planning. She appreciates that these factors are directly affected by the relationships made with the students and parents and the ever increasing demands of compliance and workload. The role of the teacher has changed and for success, we, as educators and leaders, must change with it.
Elizabeth has a Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Bachelor of Business and numerous post graduate qualifications. She has worked as the Learning and Development Manager for Pearson Education and has held leadership roles focussed on learning and teaching, professional growth and development and industrial relations.
In 2017, Elizabeth received the AMSI award for excellence in Mathematics teaching and has presented at numerous conferences both nationally and internationally.
Elizabeth will present at the Digital Classroom Conference in Melbourne.
