Sessional Lecturer QUT in Masters of IT (Library and Information Science)/Master of Information Management (MIM)
Deborah Ponting MIM; BA; B Ed St; Dip Ed; AFHEA; AALIA –Deborah is currently employed as a sessional lecturer and researcher at Queensland University of Technology. She is a qualified teacher and librarian and when Head of the Centre for Learning and Innovation at Ormiston College, helped redesign and configure the library spaces. She presented a paper on the redesign at EBLIP9 in Philadelphia in 2017. The paper was published in ACCESS in November 2018. Deborah graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Educational Studies, and Graduate Diploma of Education and graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Masters of Information Management. She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Associate member of ALIA. Deborah is President of Community Management Solutions and has been a board member since 1991.
