Clinical Psychologist, BSc, DClinPsy (University College London)
Claire trained in England and has lived in Melbourne since 2006. Since in Melbourne she worked in the CAT Team, with adults in mental health crisis; the Adolescent Forensic Health Service, for young people who have offended and suffer with psychological issues; and at the Royal Children’s Hospital in the Integrated Mental Health Program. She set up her own private practice in 2008, which grew to the point that she left her role as Senior Psychologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Claire works with adults, children and families and liaises with schools on a broad range of psychological and mental health issues. Her main approaches are CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), Narrative and Systemic. Claire likes to collaborate with her clients and work together to craft an intervention tailored specifically to their strengths and aims.
Claire will present at the Mental Health Stream as part of the Special Needs Symposim in Melbourne.
