Head of Library Services, Somerville House
Angela joined Somerville House as Head of Library Services in January 2017 right before the Seymour Library was packed into boxes and relocated temporarily into seven on-site demountables. Angela was responsible for continuing to offer excellent Library services throughout the refurbishment, and providing suggestions for improvement in collaboration with the project manager, architect and construction managers throughout the build. She has seen Seymour Library through its first twelve months since re-opening and continues to seek new ways to encourage student and staff engagement in the new space.
Before joining Somerville House, Angela led a team of Library Advisers through a period of change at QUT Law Library. Prior to this, she held positions as a specialist Law Librarian at The University of Queensland, Clayton Utz, TressCox Lawyers and King & Wood Mallesons. Angela is a passionate and dynamic librarian with a penchant for interior design. Her skills have aided in creating engaging new spaces in the beautifully refurbished Seymour Library.
Angela will present at the Capacity Building School Libraries Conferences.
